The Saboteur (PS3) Description

We hear a lot about Germany whenever anyone mentions World War II and the Nazi regime. Or Winston Churchill. But not an awful lot of people talk about what happened in the European countries that were occupied by Nazis during this period of war. Pandemic Studios, the creators of the Mercenaries series, tell such a tale in The Saboteur - a story about Irish racing mechanic Sean Devlin who seeks to topple the Nazi occupation in France. Thanks to the French Resistance, you become a liberation vigilante who carries out sabotage missions in the expansive game world. An array of weapons and vehicles are at hand to help you take on the Nazis, who are hot on your tail if you make a big enough noise in any given area. If you’re spotted on suspicion of arson or sabotage, the German army opens fire to apprehend you. If you’re slick enough, you can evade capture and raise the Alarm meter to force the Nazis to bring in tanks and zeppelins. The more you fight and take back for the people, the more colourful the world becomes as the art style features a unique ‘film noir’ approach to the game’s visuals. As you progress Sean gets the opportunity to beef up his abilities, earn better cars and gain the ability to pass through various checkpoints to enable him to cause havoc in the neighbouring town... The resistance needs YOU!

Brilliant game. There are definatly a few graphical and spawning errors, but the gameplay itself is near perfect. There's alot of time to spend playing this game and alot of freeplay involved. Only thing I would reccomend is SAVE REGULARLY!

Saboteur is a pretty good game, if you like Assassin's Creed or Infamous your going to like this. The game itself is a little buggy in places, graphical glitches ect. but nothing to spoil the fun. The storyline is pretty good, and the racing around nazi france in your 1930's F1 car is pretty cool too. The one big annoyance is the auto-save system unlike Assassin's Creed the game dosent auto-save after every german installion is destroyed, it only save after every completed mission / side mission. I spent a whole morning clearing out a region of its nazi installations only to play later and find them all back again because I didnt do a mission to auto-save and forgot to manually save before I finished playing. This is what ultimatly killed the game for me, I basically hate doing things twice, so I moved on. I played the game over Christmas and had an excellent time, there are games out there that do the same job better, the two I have mention being prime examples, BUT this is a good game non the less.

Not a bad game... could have been alittle more better in terms of espionage...ie sneak up and kill a nazi and drag their body away.... Its annoying when u shoot one and the everyone knows where u r straight away Action sequences are good fighting excellent animation superb voices...hmmmm...ok story good driving is badly performed a game i would recommend to rent but dont think of it as brilliant more like .... the caretaker to Uncharted...so glad that won game of the year !!! woohoo!!!
