Acceptable Condition Guidelines

Please make sure that your games adhere to our acceptable condition guidelines set out below. This will ensure you are credited for your trade-ins and there is no delay in processing your order.

If the games you submit for trade in do not meet the criteria given below we will unfortunately be unable to accept the item and you will receive no credit for the item. We will also not return any rejected games and your disc will be recycled free of charge.

We can only currently accept trade in orders from the UK.

All games discs must be in good condition and in full working order.
The disc(s) must be in the case and it must be the correct disc(s) for the case.
All the original packaging must be present, including the games manual.
The disc must NOT be a copy or a pirate disc – we take this matter very seriously and reserve the right to take further action on this matter.
The disc must NOT be cracked or have dents, deep scratches or other serious damage to it – light surface scratches are usually accepted.
The packaging and cases must be in good condition. Cases may have light scratches but games manuals must be free from stickers, tears and other blemishes.
We will charge 50p per Game if the disc requires cleaning as a refurbishment fee, and 25p per Game if the case is broken.
We can only accept UK PAL video games.

Remember you must always include: The games disc, games manual, original games box.

Description

Army of Two: The 40th Day (Xbox 360) Description

Rios and Salem are back to take on some more terrorists in Army of Two: The 40th Day. The two mercenaries-for-hire find themselves in the middle of Shanghai, China, where a string of mysterious catastrophes is bringing the city to the edge of ruin. It all comes to a head on the 40th Day - the duo must work together as one unit to discover the secret behind this event and to survive through ravaged districts and town centres. Gameplay follows the action and pace of the first Army of Two game, where up to two players assume the roles of Rios and Salem and use any means of cover to escape constant gunfire from enemies. Being top-class mercs, they also have some pretty mean weaponry and co-op moves that can take out entire groups of bad guys. In The 40th Day, you can expect to see a bigger playbook of team manoeuvres that either player can engage at any time, leading to new strategies in the midst of a heated gun battle. And like before, you can grab a friend online and reach the end of the campaign together. There are also new multiplayer modes such as Extraction, where teams must beat waves of increasingly difficult terrorists to progress. Become the Army of Two once more and get to the bottom of the Shanghai crisis!

Army of Two Having played the first game it was fun but had some issues which it seems still plague the 2nd. Gameplay Gameplay is good its your normal run and gun style the controls work fine and you never fell you died because of poor control. That being said there are a few issues you need to be aware of. Enemies are tiny Most of the time you will be shooting at enemies that are really small on the screen. I played this on a 37 inch HD tv and still found it hard to find the enemies sometimes. So expect to be shooting dots in the distance. Rocket guys Most of the time I was killed by a rocket guy who fired a rocket. They will shout RPG when one is fired but its often as the rocket is already going to hit you. So in fact you cant really move out of the way. This comes back to more poor design again the rocket guys pop up and fire stright away. This wouldnt be a problem if the person shouted RPG ahead of time giving you some time to locate the person. This is often not the case so you spend time looking which ends up getting you shot. Poor enemy placement Number one rule for game design should be in a action game to have the enemies come for logical and clear directions games such as Gears of War have structered enemy placement and each battle you feel in control and have a good idea were the enemies are coming. In Army of two expect enemies to randomly pop out of any were also expect sometimes enemies to come up behind you...why because they just do. This makes no sense if you just spent the last 5 mins clearing a room and moving forward then there should never be a case of a enemy coming up behind you..why because you have cleared the area. Its just poor design and cheap. The gameplay overall is good if you can forgive those issues. It does however leave a bad taste in your mouth. If you want a fun co-op game then its ok just expect to get annyoed at poor design choices. Gun modding the game has great gun modding and is better overall in this aspect you can pretty much take any part and stick it on any gun its a pretty good system and is fun. Story All I can say about the story is what story. This has to be one of the most poorly written stories ive played. The main issue is the two people you play as are just boring and you cant like them. They have zero personality. Why was the city destoried because some man wanted it so why its never really said. who is he the game never really said. The story on paper could be pretty good but its not worked in the game and infact makes it a major low point. Id say dont bother if you want a good story. the saving grace is the choices you get to pick these are by far the best feature of the story and a very welcome part of the game. The choices are interesting and actually have more story then the main story itself. Also be aware this game is very short and ends very quickly it kind of builds up to something and just gets going and then bam its over. Overall the length is not good and feels shorter then it should. This could be manly because the story is not explained by the end and you feel completly left out of the loop and going what. I dont do scoring but is Army of Two any good Short answer is yes and no. If you want a fun co-op game with just mindless shooting and having a laugh then the game is worth going though. Just dont expect a brillant ride also if your getting it for quick achivements dont bother. For fans of the original game, Army of Two will instantly feel like you’re back in the same field, however sometime later and you’ll soon see all the nice tweaks to the formula that make this initially feel like a better experience. Unfortunately Army of Two: The 40th Day takes the “1 step forward and 2 steps back” logic and ultimately is worse off. Yes, the graphics have seen some improvement and the sounds of weapon fire sound great and the melee’s are just a joy to behold (and thankfully now mapped to their own button) - but its all for nothing when the game lags so much. It’s easy to say that I should check my connection but this is a problem for the majority of people. Lag is present in the online competitive multiplayer and the co-op campaign; the latter of which is unforgivable in a game that advertises itself as defined co-op experience. You’re unlikely to be warping around but your aim and movement are very sluggish (the same problems are present in the online demo). Play offline and you’ll find controls to be very sharp. As you’d probably expect the game isn’t going to win awards for its narrative but that’s unlikely what’d you’d be renting / buying it for. It serves its purpose which is to move you forward and shoot lots of bad men in the face. Graphics are sharp, clean and (despite the lag issues) the frame rate is smooth. Some parts even go beyond good and venture into greatness, such as a scene fairly early on where a building comes apart while you’re in it! Sound is great and makes decent use of Dolby 5.1. Voice acting is solid despite the key villain sounding a little too much like a Saturday morning cartoon villain. There is fun to be had with Army of Two: The 40th Day. If you loved the first one then you need to play this too. If you didn’t enjoy the first then this will not change you mind.

A decent co-op game. The duo are back from the original game, and have brought with them an improved inventory system and better unlockables. The gameplay is relativly the same, and the AI partner can be a bit dense now and again. It's best played with a friend. The online multi-player is decent, but hard if you're not paired up with someone who knows how to play properly and can be easily dominated if that's the case.

PLEASE BEAR IN MIND that im only writing this review from the demo i have played, it offers more co-op moves for players to use. you have the option to customize every weapon in the game by adding bigger clips, better scope's and extra atchements, like a shotgun or grenade attachement let alone Silences and shileds, and when it comes to the painjob of your weapon the choices seam endless from what i can only descripe as cow paint (white with black patches) to bright pink paint jobs, and with a new game mode called extraction, which is can be compeared to Horde on gears of war, u and up to 3 friends (via xbox live) fight wave after wave of enemines i cant wait for this game to be released 10/10
