Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (Xbox 360) Description

In Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, you must guide Harry and friends through their sixth year at wizard school as Voldemort gains greater control over the Wizarding world and extends the fight into the Muggle world. Meanwhile, Ron must also pursue romantic engagements as teenage hormones come into play in the halls of Hogwarts. Harry needs to perfect his magical potion skills in Professor Slughorn's class, with a little bit of help from written notes in a book previously owned by the mysterious Half-Blood Prince. With night time missions through the halls of the school and trips to The Burrow and the Horcrux cave, you will see more of the wizarding world than ever before. You will also travel with Dumbledore to investigate the secrets of Voldemort's past and how to finally defeat him. The Duelling Club could also use some help against the other houses of Hogwarts, it's all good practise for battles against the Death Eaters and Inferi and you might end up as Duelling Club Champion. Of course, you can always take part in the Quidditch Cup and try to catch the Snitch. Whatever you do, you must prepare for the coming final battle with Lord Voldemort, but if you get stuck, you can always ask for help from Nearly Headless Nick.

Overall, not a bad game. A fairly short 'adventure' in my opinion, but a good family friendly game which kids AND parents will enjoy. Graphics weren't too bad, but at one point in the game Snape's face was... let's say, slightly disfigured. However, it can be slightly repetitive at times, but it's not so bad that it makes you come off the game. Worth a rent, but not really a full purchase - 3 Stars

For some reason i always seem to add the Harry Potter games to my rental list and end up not giving them the time of day and send them straight back, but i decided to give this game the benefit of the doubt and play it all the way through and i was hooked, always thinking ill do the next mission then turn it off but i couldn't. I'm not a Harry Potter fan and have never really seen any of the films only bits here and there but for a Harry Potter fan this would be a dream game. It is however very easy but i guess it will be mostly a childrens game so that is to be expected. I was very impressed with this game and definately worth a rent even if you hate Harry Potter you will still think its a good game. A good game to boost your achievement score too. Top game.

After loving all the otherharry potter games and films (as well as all the books.), i felt really disapointed in this game as it was too easy. By easy i mean; 1. you cant get lost in the castle as sir nicholas helps you 2. It is basically run on mini games 3. I finished it in about 4 days so not worth 40 pounds. After my disapointed i decided to get a thousand gamerscore off it, which the only reason i like the game really.

Another movie tie in, but this one isn't too bad. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood prince is a good little magic based game. The controls are quite tight and the graphics are the best in the series so far. Where as the other harry potter games haven't really lived up to the hype, this one I am glad to say does provide a lot for us muggles and sticks close to the film
