Killzone 2 (PS3) Description

Two years after the Helghast assault on Vekta, the ISA is taking the fight to the enemy’s home world of Helghan. The ISA goal is direct: capture the Helghast leader, Emperor Visari, and bring the Helghast war machine to a halt. Assuming the role of Sev, a battle-hardened veteran and a member of the special forces unit known as the Legion, players will lead a group of highly trained soldiers on a mission to take out the Helghast threat. For Sev and his squad, the invasion of Helghan is just the beginning. Tasked with securing Pyrrhus, the Capital City, the team quickly discovers that the Helghast are a formidable enemy on their home planet. Not only have they adjusted to the planet’s hostile conditions, they have also harnessed a source of power they can now use against the ISA. Sev discovers his squad isn’t just fighting enemy forces – their fiercest opponent may be the planet itself.

This is an enjoyable fps game. The game starts off with a incredible intro with a speech from the leader of the helghast army. Then you drop into the action from the first level battling it out with his soldiers. I would probably say this is one of the toughest fps games I've played. The soldiers can take a while before they die. The cut scenes between each level is really good though. The final level is really difficult which took a while to do. The best part is the online game competing against everyone online which is a lot of fun. I would recommend this game though for anyone that owns a PS3.

Now this I liked. I am a huge fan of halo and COD but this for me gave the standard FPS a new edge, its nothing special in terms of freshness, it is your bog standard FPS but its done so well, focus on the basics and the rest will come. THe online is what really but the ice on the cake for me. Very well matched, feels like you are really in the thick of it. 5 Stars for this really really enjoyed it

By far the prettiest game I’ve ever played..! (Apart from Crysis of course) I was in awe watching the intro movie and to the point when you land on the river bank in the first mission. But that’s not enough to save it. First off the controls are sluggish. It is the worst I’ve experienced In FPS’s in a long time. Also the button configuration is bad. I kept finding myself face to face with the enemy, I’d open fire with an assault rifle at point blank range and hit nothing but air. Its very frustrating when you think of the amount of money that was spent making this game. I makes me think that no one at Guerrilla has ever played Call of Duty 4. I don’t fall for hype anymore. I saw straight through Halo 3 within 5 minutes and its the same for KillZone 2. Both games are not bad. They are average. Not great. Just average. There are many other game which do everything a lot better. Call of Duty for example. Maybe I’m spoiled when it comes to games now I get all my games through SwapGame but because of these faults I couldn’t even bring myself to finish the game. 5 out of 10 at best.
