Army of Two (PS3) Description

Rogue private military corporations have enflamed hot spots around the globe: Somalia, Afghanistan, Iraq and a battle-crippled aircraft carrier. China and Miami are both under siege. Only Rios and Salem, two war-hardened mercenaries, are capable of quelling the violence and corruption afflicting these vulnerable warzones. It will take their Army of Two to halt the corporations' violent tactics and restore some peace. Fight alongside your team-mate to become the deadliest two-man military outfit a government can buy. Breakthrough gameplay, with a live or adaptive AI partner, enables you to take advantage of two-man strategies like customisable weapons, vehicles and tactical shooting. If you're going to survive, you'll have to bring down a vast conspiracy in which the line between the good guys and the bad guys has been obliterated.

Eeeeeh.... it's OK. There is a little fun to be had with this game. The shooting mechanic is good, with some exciting explosions and such going on, and it all looks very pretty as EA games do tend to... but it is very stale, and you will soon see right through it. The main characters are bland and annoying, and the voice acting is painful. It's a game that will keep you occupied for a few hours at least, and if you have a friend on Live with it, you can at least do some co-op stuff which is fun for a while. Personally, I'd say this is only worth renting though, unless someone gives it to you for nothing I suppose.

1st things `1st there are a lot of mixed opinions about this however I will give you clear facts and let you decide. Army of Two is a great looking 3rd person shooter which can also be played in coop online or offline. The single player is good takes roughly about 6 hours to beat. What’s good throughout the campaign is the option to unlock and upgrade your weapons as you progress, from handguns to rocket launchers to snipers they all can be upgraded one way or another. Some big changes others small but it’s all trial and error which is excellent because everybody plays different. Another unique feature on this game is aggro. Aggro basically is where your causing a lot of destruction and attention and the enemies will be focusing more on you and you partner will practically become invisible and can easily flank and take out the enemies from behind. This is key to progress in certain parts of the game. Even though the single player is good the game really comes alive in coop with a friend. Using your own tactics, flanking using riot shields even dragging your wounded friend to safety is what coop brings to this great game. If you’re happy after beating the game you can also play online as with a few modes. There’s a 2 vs. 2 which requires all teamwork to win so it’s more fun and enjoyable. Overall this is a great game not for everyone to go out and buy but 100% worth a rent you will not be disappointed if you give it a try.

Good shooting and fairly good graphics make this game a fun play. It does not play well one-player, yey two-player is a laugh.

This game definately deserved the poor reviews it got. It is completely unstable (crashed 3 times in the first 15 minutes of me playing) and the controls just feel awkward compared to other 3rd person shooters of this genre. It feels like "The Club" with a story line... and not a great one at that. Needless to say, within an hour of me getting it through, it was already on its way back. DO NOT BUY, DO NOT RENT, DO NOT TOUCH.
