Acceptable Condition Guidelines

Please make sure that your games adhere to our acceptable condition guidelines set out below. This will ensure you are credited for your trade-ins and there is no delay in processing your order.

If the games you submit for trade in do not meet the criteria given below we will unfortunately be unable to accept the item and you will receive no credit for the item. We will also not return any rejected games and your disc will be recycled free of charge.

We can only currently accept trade in orders from the UK.

  • All games discs must be in good condition and in full working order.
  • The disc(s) must be in the case and it must be the correct disc(s) for the case.
  • All the original packaging must be present, including the games manual.
  • The disc must NOT be a copy or a pirate disc – we take this matter very seriously and reserve the right to take further action on this matter.
  • The disc must NOT be cracked or have dents, deep scratches or other serious damage to it – light surface scratches are usually accepted.
  • The packaging and cases must be in good condition. Cases may have light scratches but games manuals must be free from stickers, tears and other blemishes.
  • We will charge 50p per Game if the disc requires cleaning as a refurbishment fee, and 25p per Game if the case is broken.
  • We can only accept UK PAL video games.

Remember you must always include: The games disc, games manual, original games box.

Please remember that the games you trade in are offered to others to play so please only trade in games you would be happy to accept yourself.

The Simpsons Game (PS2) Description

The Simpsons is an international treasure, no messing. For those who like their animated comedy with a hefty dose of sarcasm, satire and plain ol' daftness, well, The Simpsons has been doing it best for longest. The good news for gamers and fans of the show is that the family from 742 Evergreen Terrace finally gets the game it deserves in the shape of…aww, I've forgotten the title. D'oh! The Simpsons Game! That's it! The thing is, it's not merely a Simpsons game. There are 16 parody-filled episodes to play through, and if you're a regular gamer and/or film-watcher, then you'll recognise some of the blockbusters the developer is having fun with, by inhabiting the films and games in question with Homer and company. Without wanting to blow the plot, expect to see some Harry Potter-esque scenes along with what looked to us like an Eragon/Lord of the Rings/Reign of Fire mickey-take, and many more. Along with playable Marge, Homer, Bart, Lisa and Maggie, there are around 170 characters with whom to interact, including Mr Burns and his lovelorn PA Smithers, the hapless Springfield police department, and an angry-looking primate that bears a remarkable resemblance to Homer. The story has been crafted by the writers of the show and the movie, and we all know how funny those are. The combination of great gameplay and genuinely funny characters will ensure that fans will be delighted with The Simpsons Game, and there might be a few converts along the way too.

A must try for fans of the simpsons. The Simpsons has always been the king of pop culture and in this game it takes that same wit and observation to the world of popular video games. There have been loads of simpsons games but this by far the best captures the brilliance of the characters and the humor. The gameplay is hardly revolutionary as it follows the traditional platform game cliches of jumping and collecting, however, it is still enjoyable and makes many references and homages to other video games such as Frogger, Shadow of the Colossus and Dance Dance Revolution. Also having the simpsons as your main characters allows for some stylised gameplay elements. For example as lisa you can kill enemies by spinning around playing the saxaphone or turn homer into a ball and roll around a la super monkey ball. There is much to enjoy both for fans of the simpsons and fans of video games in general as the levels and humor is all based on popular videogame franchises and cliches. But the best part of the game are the cut scenes. These are effectively a new episode of the simpsons chopped up into smaller parts with all the original cast doing the voice over work. Whilst not in missions you are able to free-roam around a virtual springfield which features most of the locations featured in the series including the Kwik-e mart, springfield elementary and the burning tyre yard. Characters from the show populate the city and all have humorous quips and one liners that will certainly make you laugh the first time you hear them. Overall the gameplay is lacking but the simpsons have never been better represented in a video game.

WHAT A GAME! ITS LIKE ONE BIG SIMPSONS CARTOON THAT YOU PLAY. FIRST YOU START OFF AS HOMER,THEN BART,LISA,MARGE AND THEN MAGGIE. ITS AN EXCELLENT 2 PLAYER CO-OP PUZZLE SOLVER THAT MAKES YOU THINK BUT NOT TO HARD SO THE KIDS CAN PLAY IT AS WELL. THE GRAPHICS ARE PLOISHED AND THE CHARACTER ABILITYS ARE AMAZING, HOMER TURS INTO A BALL AND A GUMMY BLOB. ALL IN ALL THIS GAME IS AS ADDICTIVE AS IT IS FUNNY. A MUST RENT!
