Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles Description

It's not easy, fighting vampires and other undead ghastliness. The good news for PSP owners is that, for the first time, it's not going to be easy in a Castlevania game on Sony's handheld. As well as being a first for the PSP, Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles is also a first for Western gamers. The game is an update of the classic PC Engine title, Castlevania: Rondo of Blood, and is the first time that game has ever found its way onto a console outside Japan. Set in 1792, The Dracula X Chronicles puts players back into the fetching footwear of Richter Belmont as he battles to return the nefarious Dracula to the dark oblivion from whence he came. To make matters worse, the unconscionable count has whisked away Belmont's beloved Annette, so it's off to battle he and his loyal friend Maria must go. The Dracula X Chronicles returns the Castlevania series to its classic side-scrolling roots. As you'd expect, the game has been plumped up with a dash of 3D graphics, but the classic whip-flicking action is here in full force. For good measure, Konami has also thrown in the original Rondo of Blood alongside Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, both of which can be unlocked by achieving specific goals. If you find yourself sitting on the bus or train, suspecting your fellow commuters are, in fact, undead, you'd probably better get this before you do something liable to get you arrested.
