Star Wars: The Clone Wars Description

What a good idea, having a release date brought forward to coincide with that of the DVD and VHS. When all you Star Wars fans have finished watching your newly-purchased Attack of the Clones movie, and then suddenly find yourselves inescapably struck with the urge to take part in some interstellar adventures of your own, simply fire up your GameCube and drop in your also-newly-purchased Star Wars: The Clone Wars game. Brilliant! Developed by Pandemic Studios, The Clone Wars allows players to lead a clone army from the Republic against the sinister offensive threat of the Confederacy of Independent Systems and their leader Count Dooku. Taking the role of either Anakin, Obi-Wan, or Mace Windu, players command their forces through 16 campaigns, which span six expansive Star Wars worlds. From the desolate ruins of Rhen Var to the treetop cities of Kashyyyk, immense battles must be fought in order to prevent the Confederacy from reassembling an ancient Sith weapon of mass destruction. As is the norm for Star Wars games, the Clone Wars features a whole host of popular characters, vehicles and locations from George Lucas's fantasy universe, in this instance, obviously, from Episode II. Certain objectives throughout the game allow the player to change these vehicles during battle and pilot an array of units from the Republic's arsenal, including a speeder bike, AT-SX assault walker, fighter tank, and a Republic gunship. 30 unique combat units are to be found in total. With such a conveniently timed release, Star Wars: The Clone Wars could make for an extra-special Star Wars-tastic day, should you be able to spare the cash.
