Unlike previous MMORPG's (Ultima Online, Everquest, Diablo), players don't have to go through a boring cycle of 'hack-n-slash for level-up' in the world of Shining Lore. The battle system is filled with real-time action with various animation and gorgeous effects. The Japanese animation-like art-style creates an unconventionally bright and fashionable atmosphere. The easy and intuitive game control doesn't require weeks of play just to get used to the interface. Players don't have to be a hardcore gamer who can spend hours upon hours in front of the PC or console. Instead, they can just log-in for 10-20 minutes to enjoy mini-games that also reward them with experience points and items. Characters' faces, clothes, items and weapons can be customised with infinite possible combinations. On top of that, unique clothes, rare items, and powerful weapons can be easily created by the players for their own use or trade. To help players socialise in this virtual world, a special chatting mode is available, where characters will be zoomed in to show numerous facial expressions and gestures.
