Answer the call to battle in this Action-RPG where the Lords of Light and Darkness wage war for ultimate dominion. To save the world from eternal darkness, you must overcome hordes of demented monsters, journey through twisted, surreal environments and face unspeakable nightmares. Use your strength and skill to end the Circle of Doom and bring back the Light. Departing from Action RTS formula of the previous Kingdom Under Fire series, Circle of Doom makes full use of the Xbox 360's power to create a revolutionary gaming experience. Players will explore randomly generated vast dungeons and battle monsters swarming the screen in thousands and attacking from all directions along the floors, walls, and ceilings of the dungeons. As the game progresses, the heroes will find increasingly devastating and spectacular ways to defeat massive enemy forces in the forms of new abilities and weapons, or even create their own arsenal by combining the existing ones. Taking maximum advantage of the Xbox 360's online features, Circle of Doom seamlessly merges single-player and multiplayer modes. Players may choose to play alone or recruit 4-player parties to continue their quest as a team via Xbox Live without switching modes or anything. Each player can take their single-player characters to the party quest or create a new character with useful skills to compliment each other. They can even trade their own custom-crafted items with other party members. Although Circle of Doom is not a direct successor to the previous Kingdom Under Fire titles, its storyline serves as an important link between them and the upcoming and yet unannounced chapter of Kingdom Under Fire saga. The game features a cast of heroes include those returning from all the previous Kingdom Under Fire titles, including the original PC version. Depending on the player's decision, the story branches out and players may encounter totally unexpected turn of events. Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom combines innovative features, explosive action play mechanics and unique RPG themes, all presented in the most advanced HD visuals of epic scale and exotic style.

This is a heavy hack and slash game with light rpg elements to it. It's good fun for a few hours, especially if you like playing co-op online with a few buddies who have this, or meeting some new online killing buddies. Problem with this game is it gets repetitive after a while and there seemed to be a lot of backtracking, at several points I was left in bemusement of what to do or where to go next. The character models are well realised and the music suits the mood very well, but there is no background as to who the characters you play are or what the hell is going on, suffice to say you'll just need to kill everything you set eyes on. In the end I just ran past baddies to get through the levels quicker, because I had gotten bored and my fingers were tired. This game is a mixed bag of sorts, but it's worth picking up now and again for some Gauntlet style fun.

Overall a average game. average level design, average character designs. The combat is a bit clunky each attack uses a number of "action points" which regenerate over time but are extremely limited so you can often be waiting a few seconds between attacks. This can get pretty old fairly fast. The ability to do co op on the story mode is a great feature but if your looking for a co op RPG i would suggest Two worlds above this as it is very linear. Graphically the game is alright nothing to write home about , any upgrades you pick up (armor and weapons) are reflected on your avatar which is always nice. To Sum up a definite Rental if you like RPG's otherwise i'd pass
