Lost in Blue 2 Description

Lost in Blue 2's prequel attracted a large number of fans with its clever use of the DS touchscreen capabilities. This time around, the developer has worked to build on the basis of the original game to create an even deeper, more involving sequel. The player is cast once more as a young man (Jack) who - along with a female friend (Amy) - finds himself washed ashore an apparently deserted island. By pooling their resources, the pair must survive the myriad dangers that lay ahead as they try to find a way off the island. Lost in Blue is designed to force the gamer into thinking about how they would survive in such a situation. Initially, this involves finding food and weapons before exploration of the island. However, just like real life, thorough exploration brings on fatigue, so Jack and Amy have to rest, take on water to avoid dehydration, and find further means of sustenance. In addition to the tough physical environment for the twosome, Lost in Blue 2 also takes full advantage of the touchscreen. Items are easily collected by the player, while the stylus is now used for carpentry, wicker work, cooking food and skin diving. The two characters also boast individual skills: Jack is more physically able to climb, fight and recover his energy levels, while Amy is more accurate with a bow and arrow, can hold her breath underwater for longer and is more adept at finding ingredients for meals.
