| The only similiarities between this Resident Evil and the previous versions are the fact that you kill zombies and the umbrella corperation and racoon city gets a mention. Otherwise to me it could be a brand new franchise. The gameplay is different and my god does it work. The main story takes up to 15 hours (depending on personal pace) and once you finish it is possible to play again on the next difficulty. I tried to play initially on medium but it really works best when you start on easy and work your way up the difficulty ladder. Plus the extra missions open up the story that little bit more. Having played this game on PS2 previously i was intrigued to see if the move to aiming and moving controls inproved or weakened this game. I would have to say that the game is marginally improved. It has had a minor graphical touch up and the motion sensor and aiming work a treat. If you already own this on PS2 i would seriously not be able to recommend it, but if not then this is still a great game and i can't recommend it highly enough. | ||

| While the many GOTY awards and rave reviews would have you think otherwise, Resident Evil 4 has barely evolved from it's early incarnations. The Wii version is plagued by awkward controls that could easily have been remedied, whilst the game in general suffers from some terrible dialogue, heavily unforgiving gameplay and long periods of tedium whilst the game attempts to build up tension it's not actually capable of providing. Whilst fans of the series will love it as ever, those who found the laughable excuse for gameplay on the earliest games should still steer clear. | ||
