Theme Park Description

You are about to enter the rich and wonderful world of the modern day Theme Park, but with a difference. You are the boss, so you get to make all the decisions, from where and how the rides are built to who cleans the toilets, and how much they get paid! Pretty soon, you'll find that you're in charge of a living, breathing and ever-growing world of your own making. The tag-line for this title is 'You build it…you ride it!', and if you're satisfied with what you've created, then it's a safe bet that the paying punters will be happy too. So, once you have hired the staff, made sure that everything is ship-shape, the toilets are clean and the shops well-stocked, it's time to open the gates, and let the public flood in for some high-octane thrills and spills. Until you can afford to do it for real (when will that be, then?) Theme Park World is the ideal substitute for the budding entrepreneur.

If you're like me and are thinking of renting this because you remember playing it the first time around on PC, then do so, but don't expect to enjoy it quite as much and for quite as much time as you used to.

When it first came out it was a new and exciting idea, but now it's been done to death with the various sim games that have been around. I found it more annoying than fun to play after while and the desire to come back to it just wasn't there. The DS version is pretty much (from what I could tell) exactly the same as the old PC version, so as I say, if you just want to play it one more time, you'll get the same old Theme Park that you once played back in the 90's.
