Shadowrun Description

Powerful mega corporations, skyscrapers, cutting edge weaponry and... elves, dwarves and trolls? Suffice to say, this is not your big brother's first-person shooter. In a (let's face it) bizarre twist on the Shadowrun franchise, FASA Studios has taken the classic series and transplanted it from its fantasy realm and the RPG genre into the near future and the FPS genre. Magic's been absent for the last five millennia, but in the year 2021, it makes a comeback. All of a sudden creatures of myth are crawling out of the woodwork and challenging the world order. The world is now in a bizarre arms race between advanced future tech and magic. You can play as the RNA, a global mega corporation, and seek to bring order and profit to the world. Or, if you're feeling a bit anarchistic, join the Lineage to keep magic free and running wild. In another break from tradition, Shadowrun is the first game to offer a cross-platform multiplayer option between Windows Vista and the Xbox 360. Up to 16 players can duke it out online to see which platform really is the greatest for the first-person shooter.

The best online multiplayer game around! By a long way. There is no single-player though (other than bot-matches) so if you're not on live, beware.

I find a few of the reviews by members a little unrealistic. Yes there is no real single player game here, buts that not what this game is about. This game is all about battling online, and its here that the game makes its mark. Dont rent or buy it thinking you are getting a single player FPS that you can also play online, its not. If you play online alot, you cannot miss this one. It really is very good.

I really like this game. But if you don't have xbox live I don't think you should play this as it's not as fun playing with the A.I. The game play is good, the mix of new age tech and magic is great. And this game on live is as much fun as Halo 2. And if you're a gamer who likes to get all 1000, this will keep you busy for a while. ZT

Surprisingly entertaining mix of counter-strike and team fortress. Sure it's a little rough around the edges but it's certainly good fun to play.

THIS IS A GOOD GAME IF YOU LIKE ONLINE MULTIPLAYERS, BUT IF YOU WANT A BIT MORE LIKE A GOOD SINGLE PLAYER GAME, AVOID THIS LIKE THE PLAGUE. THIS GAME IS TOO LIMITED, IF YOU HAVE LIVE GIVE IT A TRY, IF NOT, DON'T BOTHER WITH IT. THE ONLY SINGLE PLAYER GAME ON THIS IS THE TRAINING.

I think this a really rushed game which is just a sequel of Crackdown i mean i think the xbox live marketplace hit sensation Doom is probs nearly up to scratch with this and playing with gamers on their pc is really hard we all know mouse and keyboard beats battlepad why do that?

Did they forget to build a game? Great graphics, excellent concept, good controls, enticing tutorials. Then, nothing. An online Multiplayer. Do yourself a favour, get COD3, the Online is better, AND there is a game to play aswell.
