The fox is back! And, er, starrier than ever. Star Fox makes its DS debut with this space-faring shooter. Fans will get the opportunity to take on the evil that's emerging from the planet Venom on the fly as the DS brings its unique brand of touch-screen control to the Star Fox franchise. It's been years since Fox McCloud and his crack team of pilots put the kibosh on Dr Andross's mad plans for domination of the Lylat system, and the Planet Cornera has existed in relative peace. Little did Cornera's inhabitants realise, however, that whilst the dark planet Venom existed in quarantine a new evil has arisen there. Beneath the oceans of Venom, an environment so toxic it was believed no life could survive there, the Anglar empire has thrived. It wasn't realised until it was too late. Wave after wave of Anglar fighters was launched and the Lylat system now rests firmly under the bootheel of the Anglar Emperor. Now it falls to Fox, alone since his squadron disbanded, to tackle the invasion single-handedly. Will he succeed? Will his squadron return from retirement? Well, you'll have to play to find out. Star Fox Command returns to the dog-fighting gameplay that made the series great. But it comes with a twist: rather than using the D-pad, gamers will use the DS stylus to facilitate their ship's manouevres. The touch-screen doubles up as a radar and control panel, with the ship's movements controlled by sweeps across the screen. The game also features a wireless multiplayer option, so you'll be able to take on friends for dominance of the skies.

• Lylat needs help. Players hop into their Arwing fighter and fight through a unique branching storyline of missions, all rendered in gorgeous 3-D.
  
  
• Star Fox DS brings a whole new strategic element to the series with a commander¿s view of the mission. Using the touch screen, players can draw the routes they and their teammates will take, then battle the enemies they encounter as they take over bases and strategically advance across the map.
  
  
• Players can blow their friends out of the sky as they dogfight with up to eight players over a local wireless connection or take on up to four players from around the world on Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.
