Happy Feet Description

Midway is bringing the Warner Brothers animated film Happy Feet to the small screen for the launch of the Nintendo Wii. The game stars Mumble, an Emperor Penguin living with his colony in the heart of Antarctica. There, Mumble is faced with a problem; he longs desperately to win the heart of Gloria, but to find a mate, the penguins must woo the opposite sex with their unique song. Unfortunately, unlike his friends Elvis and Nora Jean, Mumble can't hold a note to save his life. On the flipside, that penguin sure can tap dance! The actual game brings three distinct elements together: Dancing (a Dance Dance Revolution-inspired rhythm component) and the thing that Mumble does best; Belly-Sledding - a downhill race that takes players across the tundra and bizarre ice formations of Antarctica; and Swimming - an underwater collect-o-thon in the surreal, almost alien-looking sub aqua world below the ice. Happy Feet is an example of Nintendo's dedication to reaching beyond the traditional gaming audience and into the family home. The title is sure to appeal to the younger audience and the innovative Wii controllers make for some unique gameplay features where tap dancing penguins are concerned.
