Viva Piñata Description

Viva Pinata truly is a breakthrough Xbox 360 game set to appeal to the very young and the elderly young-at-heart. Indeed, it's one of those rare (Rare!) games that parents will genuinely enjoy playing with their children. It's an act of delightfully pure imagination, and for this it should be heaped with praise. The game invites you to escape to Piñata Island, where wild-roaming, living piñata animals are looking for a home. Horstachios, Fizzlybears, Fudgehogs, Mousemallows, Elephanillas and Pretztails are just a handful of the 60 species of wild piñata you will find and, hopefully, nurture in your garden. Create and customise your garden as you see fit in order to attract, tame and nurture the wild piñatas and make their experience uniquely their own. The game is all about personalisation, so you can name your piñatas, choose accessories for them to wear, decide where to plant grass and flowers, and more. It's a colourful, fully customisable world with all kinds of possibilities. 'Viva Piñata' gameplay is also extended through the Xbox Live, with subscribers able to connect with friends, family or other players from around the globe to trade items from their piñata paradise — everything from the smallest plant to the largest piñata. Xbox Live will also offer accessories for download into the game to personalise your piñata collections.

Yes I know its cutesy, but this game is brilliant. What a great decision for Microsoft to invest in the great British developer Rare. I recently shunned buying this game in HMV in favour of buying the god awful Superman Returns, what a mistake that was. Im not a general fan of 'play god' games as it involves sitting around for hours on end not achieving very much, but this game has me hooked. Since it arrived through my letter box I have played this game for hours on end. The graphics are awesome, a good way to show off the 360's power. And the gameplay itself is so much fun. The control system is spot on. Generally these types of game suit a PC with a mouse, but the 360 pad is mapped out perfectly for the game, and there are plenty of on screen prompts which show you what you can do. The game is a must to rent, and I would also say that you cannot go wrong buying it.

This is a game that is perfect for the family as well as it being the first kid game on the 360 (I don't count Kameo cause that game is crap). It is very simple to play and with the 360's graphic power the Pinata's are just so cute that Dead Rising and Gears of War addicts hearts will melt when you see the Pinata's sweet smile.

when i told my dad i was renting a game with cute looking furry animals which wondered my garden carrieng sweet inside there stomachs. he couldnt help but think that maybe something in me wasnt write, sure i like the old bloody monster mad shoot out sorta game where you pretty much live for ever ie halo and lost planet but when i picked up pinata all i could think about for the next few days was trying to get my mousel mallows to ' romance' even though this game may be a little patronising the characters are wonderfully intaractive and always look cute! the learning curve is quik and it certainelly throws u into the action with many different pinatas popping up. The shop keepers are amusing and buying more items is lways fun. One thing that i lreally liked about viva pinata is that if u finish the totorial and find that ure garden is crowded and u have a lot of problems no need to stress start a new garden an u getter keep ure progree from before meaning u will have more money and i higher gardening level, genius! If u love the sims or zoo tycoon u will love this. PLEASE do not hestatate to get this if u think it looks childesh Viva pinata is pure exelence a game like this does not come round everyday

I don't think that this game is for everyone but I absolutely love it. It's as mad as a hatter and also very addictive. It's also a title that the entire family can enjoy. Most of the game feels as though it's pitched at 10 year olds, but I still like it and I am in my 20s.

Features

The Viva Piñata gameplay experience presents a customizable, social and spontaneous world in which gamers play an absolutely crucial role. The Viva Piñata world is an evolving paradise teeming with fantastic living piñata creatures and vibrant plant life, all determined by the player¿s choices and actions. Viva Piñata boasts the following qualities:

  • Customizable. - Viva Piñata allows players imaginations to run wild by providing them with expansive freedom and choice:
    • Your world. Your choice of contents will determine which of the piñata species are attracted to your world, since they all have individual requirements. Sowing grass, digging ponds, planting flowers and growing trees all affect which of the unique piñatas you will see. It's not just about plants, either; there is a whole range of ornaments and structures that could be decisive. Your reward for creating an appealing paradise is to watch the piñatas visit and eventually reside there, which is where the fun really starts.

    • Your piñatas. Once you have resident piñatas, you can begin to personalize your loyal community. Piñatas can be individually named and given their own personally designed tag to put on display as a declaration of their home turf. And the customization doesn¿t end there. You can make the colorful critters more distinctive by customizing them with all kinds of costumes and accessories.

  • Social - The Viva Piñata community is a rewarding place to be, whether you remain within the boundaries of your own world or venture out into the real world or your friend's piñata world via Xbox Live, the first and only global, unified online console games service.
    • Interact with the piñatas. Getting to know and understand the personalities and requirements of your piñatas is essential if you want them to stay happy and thrive. Make your world their ideal paradise, and they'll want to raise a family and expand your community.

    • Interact with the characters. Players decide how much help they want from the local guides, shopkeepers and work force. Go it alone or get them involved you choose.

    • Interact with other players online. Via the Xbox Live online community, players can contact other gamers to lend a hand, lay down a competitive challenge or trade items.

  • Spontaneous - Viva Piñata is a constantly changing world where anything can and does happen:
    • It's happening outside. It's not just new piñata species that are drawn to your world; untamed sour piñatas with bad attitudes and troublemaking ruffians do their worst to spoil your creation and must be dealt with.

    • It's happening inside. Maintaining harmony within a growing community isn't always easy when rivalries, illness, injuries and even candy-spilling fights occur. If players turn their backs, who knows what their piñatas will do?
