The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle Earth II Description

The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth II is the sequel to the critically acclaimed RTS game The Lord of the Rings and gives Tolkien fans the chance to experience all that Middle-Earth was meant to be. It's certainly the closest that you have ever been able to get to the fantasy master's original vision of Middle-Earth in a videogame. The game boasts a load of new content from Tolkien's original fiction, which means that you can delve deeper into Middle-Earth than ever before and engage in new battles that go way beyond the award-winning movie trilogy. You might, for example, choose to wage a bloody war in the North and assume command of the most mythologised civilisations in all of Middle-Earth's history - the Elven and Dwarven armies. You might instead choose to fight on the side of Evil with various heroes and creatures that have never been seen in The Lord of the Rings films. If you are something of a homemaker, you may even build your own landmark castle with fully customisable and upgradeable fortresses and walls. That should keep those pesky Orcs at bay! Defend or overtake never-before-seen lands of Middle-Earth such as Dol Guldur, The Misty Mountains, and Mirkwood, as you unleash powerful new weapons and abilities - summoning dragons, causing volcanoes to erupt, or bringing down cataclysmic lightning strikes. But beware, with greater power comes greater adversity. Your enemies, commanded by a powerful new AI system, possess a greater tactical edge and more powerful spells. Will your armies have the fortitude to persevere? This superb RTS is a must for fans of Middle-Earth and fans of great strategy games too.

On the whole this game truly is immense; on the one hand you have a rather immersive single player mode where you have to use your strategic skill to overcome the enemy. Then online you must do the same, but this time against your friends in four way battles lasting for hours on end. You can summon characters from the films like Gandalf, Aragorn, Saruman and even the late, but great Sauron. It, of course, doesn�t stop there as you will have the mighty Balrog, the Watcher, Wyrms and Eagles all at your disposable. Whats more in HD the game looks truly stunning, each unit looks unique and they all stand out, it truly is remarkable when two great armies collide and watching the carnage will make your mouth water. The controller system is perfect, I never thought it would be so easy to navigate through the various menus, but EA have cracked it and I commend them. All I can say now is if you�re a Lord of the Rings fan, an RTS fan or just a human being then buy Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth II! I Just Downloaded the Demo of this on XBOX Live, What a Great Game!!!! The Demo lets you play Single Player & Tutorial & Xbox Live!!!! the Tutorial is quite good, but it doesn't really show you what to do!!! so i was on there for a good Hour or two, just trying to work out what i was supposed to do, but completed it Finally!!!! Then there was the Single player Game FANTASTIC......... Graphics were not as good as Age of Empires 3, But then what game is? Music & Sound is good, Gameplay is Great i recommend this game for all RTS Fans.........
