Tamagotchi Connexion: Corner Shop (TC) is based on the popular Tamagotchi virtual pet that made its debut back in 1996, kickstarting a phenomenon that has most recently manifested itself in Nintendogs. TC is a dose of virtual retail therapy set in the world of Tamagotchi. In the game, players open speciality shops and develop their businesses by serving customers needs through minigames that utilise the DS touch-screen functionality. You must help Mametchi, Memetchi or Kuchipatchi set up a shop; the ultimate goal is to create a 'royal' shop that is a favourite of Princess Tamako. Gamers can select from a variety of different shops, including a beauty salon, bakery, flower shop, dentist's surgery and more. Once the shop is open, players can customise it by completing minigames with the Nintendo DS stylus. Players apply make up, treat cavities, decorate cakes and complete many other shop-like tasks to earn dough, the Tamagotchi money unit, and progress towards the coveted 'royal' shop status. Shop interiors can be customised and cute Tamagotchi characters will make countless appearances throughout the game.
