| As all good gamers know, Splinter Cell has its origins on full blown consoles, and this version for the DS aims to bring this stealth based action title to the handheld gaming world. Sadly this title falls short in several areas. The game has made a very poor translation to the DS and everything from the graphics to the clunky control mechanism (hampered by low framerate graphics) leaves a bitter disappointment in the players mouth ! The differences (other than graphics) in this game to its bigger brothers, is a far more linear gameplay. The levels start at point A and the player has to progress to point B without being detected. All very straightforward, but its execution is flawed by poor use of the Nintendo DS's hardware. A very lazy version of the Splinter Cell franchise that is frustrating to play and hence one not to buy even at bargain bin prices ! Rent it to see for yourself ! | ||
