Duel Masters: Kaijudo Showdown starts off in the city of Larkwell. Your older brother Sam is heading off on an archaeological expedition. As he is about to leave, he gives you his collection of Duel Master cards. This is the beginning of your path toward becoming a Kaijudo Master.

With Knight as your guide, you duel your way up from shop to regional tournaments. Along the way, you challenge true masters like Hakuoh and Kokujo as you delve into the mystery of the missing artifacts. Your brother needs your help and shadowy characters offer anything in exchange for the artifacts you seek. Your friends (and sponsors!) wait and watch.
