| This is an absolute masterpiece. The pros:- - All new CAMOUFLAGE-SYSTEM. You put on different camouflages to hide from enemies. - First game in the series to feature outdoor locations. - The story is brilliant and the cut-scenes are AMAZING. - You get to eat loads of animals in order to survive - including snakes! - The Boss Battles are fantastic. - Good replay value, though you may not do so in a rental copy. - The BEST game sounds and music you will ever find. - It is the 1960s! - Innovative new CURE system. The cons:- - Newcomers to the series are probably just gonna chuck it away, as it takes some time to get used to the controls. - The camera is full of rubbish. It might be the single reason why you would not want to play the game. - There is no RADAR either. It is a nuisance, as people will discover soon afterwards. - The frame-rate is quite low, and the textures are poor in quality. It gives the looks a 'jaggy' feel. (but it IS excellent overall) - The story makes little sense at first, and none to newcomers. The Bottom Line:- Newcomers are going to dislike this game at first. But do take the time out to see all the instructions in the game, it's worth it. Once you look past the obviously flawed camera, and the absence of the essential RADAR, it is a REALLY great game. Even if you hate the gameplay, that's cuz you are a newcomer, the story is gripping enough to make you play the rest of the game. Mind you, you will not understand the plot if you do not have any familiarity with previous MGSs. Rent it, keep it, this is a game that you have to play. | ||
