Medal of Honor: Rising Sun Description

The setting for Medal of Honor: Rising Sun is the Pacific Theatre of Operations, taking in the war years between 1941 and 1944. This MOH adventure is the first to be set in this time and place, and fully immerses players in the fight against the Japanese, a conflict that raged from Pearl Harbor to the islands of the Philippines. Players take on the role of heroic Marine Corporal Joseph Griffin, as he survives the events of Pearl Harbor, leads the 1942 assault on Guadalcanal Island in the Solomons, and ultimately frees his brother from the brutality of a Japanese POW camp in the Philippines. Armed with not much more than a variety of weapons and your wits, it's up to you - as Griffin - to stop the war machine in its tracks. Players can team up to fight against the Japanese forces in the game's new co-operative multi-player mode. In traditional MOH style, you will be awarded medals as you progress, and you prove your worth in defeating the enemy. With the authenticity switched to maximum, courtesy once again of Captain Dale Dye (military technical advisor on previous MOH titles) and the Congressional Medal of Honor Society, Rising Sun's 10 levels of solo or two-player co-operative action are hard to beat - that is, unless you go for the multi-player mode and its ten levels of Deathmatch and Team modes. There's more to do here than initially meets the eye, as the aforementioned levels, whether you go it alone or with friends, have so much to offer in terms of stalking around stealthily in a game of 'not being seen', or going gung-ho and causing as much mayhem as possible. We're happy to report that EA have delivered again - this Medal of Honor thing just gets better.
